Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a prestigious boutique law firm in Irvine to identify an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal for a full-time, onsite opportunity. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with accomplished attorneys in a collaborative environment handling sophisticated bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of bankruptcy paralegal experience and the ability to independently manage cases in a fast-paced legal setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, plans, motions, and related pleadings.
- Support attorneys in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.
- Manage case files from intake through discharge and case closure.
- Coordinate with clients to collect financial information and supporting documentation.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files.
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, creditors, trustees, and court personnel.
- Conduct PACER research and assist with court filings through CM/ECF.
- Track deadlines, hearing dates, and filing requirements to ensure compliance.
- Assist attorneys in preparation for hearings, meetings, and court appearances.
- Prepare case summaries, exhibits, and supporting documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of bankruptcy paralegal experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
- Experience with PACER, CM/ECF, and legal case management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Paralegal certificate preferred but not required.
